Close All | Open AllCryosurgery, sometimes called cryotherapy, is the localized freezing of tissue for the controlled destruction and removal of unwanted lesions, especially on the skin.
Cryosurgery can safely and effectively treat many common skin lesions, including:
- Warts
- Actinic Keratoses
- Seborrheic Keratoses
- Molluscum
- Skin Tags
- Cherry Angioma
As the coldest cryosurgical technique (-196º C), liquid nitrogen freezes lesions more quickly, completely, and effectively than other freezing agents.
Also, liquid nitrogen can easily be applied with a high degree of control and accuracy by using a variety of spray tips and probes with different apertures for lesions of different sizes and types.

It depends on the type of storage tank and delivery system used. In Brymill’s LongLast Storage Tank, liquid nitrogen has a static holding time of up to 220 days.
